Senior Risk Lawyer - Claims

A law firm is seeking a senior professional to join its Governance & Risk team. This hybrid role involves working across all offices to support firmwide compliance, claims management and quality assurance initiatives. The position is suited to a lawyer transitioning into compliance or a seasoned compliance professional with experience in claims handling.This role can also be based in Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise on complex claims under the firm’s small claims authoritySupport the renewal of professional indemnity insuranceHandle client and third-party complaintsContribute to firmwide risk projects and drive improvements.Develop and deliver training on governance and risk topicsRequired ExperienceLegal background in litigation or property law, or compliance experience in a law firmStrong understanding of the SRA Handbook and Code of ConductExperience managing complex compliance issues and claims handlingFamiliarity with professional indemnity insurance processes
