Trainee Development and Early Careers Advisor – Top London Law FirmA top London law firm is seeking a Trainee Development and Early Careers Advisor to join its Early Careers team. This people-focused role supports the development of future legal and business talent, working closely with trainees, apprentices, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and enriching early career experience.About the FirmThis global law firm operates across 31 offices in 21 countries and is known for its collaborative culture, innovation, and commitment to excellence. The firm values diversity, inclusivity, and creating a supportive environment where people can thrive.The RoleAs a key member of the Early Careers team, you will play a central role in managing the trainee programme and contributing to the development of legal and business apprentices. You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and help shape the early careers strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesTrainee Programme SupportManage the London trainee programme in line with SRA requirements.Coordinate onboarding, induction, and training for new trainees.Oversee the trainee seat rotation process.Manage the evaluation process, including scheduling reviews and preparing feedback summaries.Conduct career development meetings with trainees and escalate concerns when necessary.Support the qualification and placement of trainees into associate roles.Early Careers StrategyContribute to the recruitment and development of:Legal apprentices working toward their degrees.Business apprentices in areas such as Finance, Legal Operations, and Technology.What They’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will be passionate about developing early talent and bring a blend of relationship-building, project management, and coaching skills.You’ll need:Experience in trainee development, early careers, or apprenticeship recruitment.Confidence working with senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a coaching mindset.A collaborative approach, working across HR teams and business functions.A commercial mindset and ability to use data to track performance and trends.A strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
