Our Editorial team works closely with colleagues in Client Services, Copy, Strategy, Creative, Studio and Document Systems to ensure that the materials delivered by Cognite are of the highest possible standard. Our UK- and US-based teams allow us to provide a trusted, responsive service for clients in both time zones.We are now looking for a UK-based Senior Editor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is driven to go the extra mile for our clients. Reporting to the Principal Editor, you will be responsible for:Carrying out a range of editorial tasks (including copyedits, proofreads and proofedits) and using the appropriate tools to mark up both print and digital projectsCreating, maintaining and applying editorial style sheets for assigned accounts Reviewing the work of other editors (freelance and in-house)Collaborating with other teams within the agency to understand upcoming needs, prioritise tasks in hand and ensure that work is completed to deadlineAdvocating for quality at all times, including when demanding timelines require compromisesStaying up to date on pharmaceutical industry codes of compliance and developments in language to ensure our materials meet the needs of different audiencesParticipating in the delivery of internal training and onboardingWe believe that the right person for this role will have:At least 2 years experience in a fast-paced healthcare/medical communications agencyExperience of editing either promotional materials or publications/medical education materialsProficiency in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Adobe AcrobatFamiliarity with both UK English and US EnglishCognites agency principles of Quality, Commitment, Responsiveness and Togetherness define how we collaborate with our clients as a valued and supportive thinking partner while working with each other as part of a united team in which everyone plays an important role.
