To be agreed based on project needs (1 day per week) Number of positions 2 Duration of assignment 6 months Any other working conditions - travel/on call/shifts No To be published on job boards from below onwards The Role This is a specialist clinical role within the Digital Team, relating to patient safety. The post holder will be an experienced clinical practitioner (Nurse/Midwife/AHP/Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technician or Clinical Scientist) and trained Clinical Safety Officer. The purpose of the Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) role is to implement Clinical Risk Management activities within Digital Services that support the safe development, introduction, and deployment of clinical digital systems. The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating with other Trust teams, to ensure a cooperative approach to digital clinical risk management Your responsibilities: As part of the Digital Team, the post-holder will support the implementation of the digital clinical safety strategy under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Information Officer They will conduct clinical safety reviews and risk assessments related to digital systems, including the Trusts new electronic patient record (EPR). Collaboration across the Lincolnshire Integrated Care System to ensure clinical pathways are integrated into the safety approach for systems deployed within ULHT. To act as a designated clinical safety officer for the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme, with responsibility for ensuring a suitable clinical safety process is in place and that it has been followed during the manufacture, procurement, and implementation of digital health systems. Develop, maintain, and refine systems and processes to identify and address patient safety risks associated with digital health applications and systems. The development and use of Health IT systems DCB 0160 Undertaking the supervision of the CNIO plan and undertaking Clinical Safety Assessment workshops for digital systems, meeting the NHS England Transformation Directorates standards (Including DCB0129 & DCB0160) adhering to Trust guidance and standards. Creating and approving clinical safety cases (applications) and reports Understanding and experience on regulatory compliances including MHRA, DCB0129, DCB0160 Experienced clinician with evidence of working effectively across a range of clinical settings within a MDT Experienced CSO with portfolio of evidence to demonstrate past practice and achievements Completing Audits on a regular basis, including for example the following: a. Clinical Risk Management File (CRMF) b. Clinical risk Management Plan (CRMP) c. Hazard Log (HL) d. Clinical Safety Case, Clinical Safety Case Report e. Safety Incident Management Log f. Decommissioning Clinical Safety Case Report Work with members of the clinical safety function offer from frontline digitisation/NHSE, to develop the clinical safety case(s) required for the Trusts new EPR/EPR modules. Support the delivery of service developments and improvements in line with the what good looks like (WGLL) frameworks and outcomes -WGLL. Maintain a professional portfolio in line with the trust guidance and that of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)/Health and Care professionals Council (HCPC). Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: Registered practitioner, Nursing, Midwifery, AHP, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician or Clinical Scientist Clinical safety officer trained/NHS Digital Clinical Safety Accreditation. Masters in related healthcare discipline or substantial experiential equivalence. Evidence of continuing professional development masters or equivalent knowledgeon PMP / PRINCE2 Foundation QSIR training understanding Ability to draw together complex information. Understanding of the national digital agenda and key clinical safety requirements In relation to NHS England Transformation Directorate standards. DCB0129 & DCB0160 understanding Up to date and evidence-based knowledge of current clinical and professional issues. Change management skills. Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite. Excellent interpersonal Knowledge on EPR systems like Nervecentre and Cerner TPBN1_UKTJ
