So, if youre ready to be a force for good, lead change and want to make a difference to society, keep reading.The RoleThe Production Manager Children and Young People and Communities will play a key role in the operational planning and delivery of events and initiatives that serve schools and community groups. Working closely with the Senior Event Experience Manager, Children and Young People Team and the Community Engagement Team, this role will ensure that events are inclusive, safe, and inspiring for all participants. The role will support the delivery of both LME-led and community-led events, helping to bring to life our ambition to break down barriers to activity and support underrepresented groups. This role will act as Operations Lead for flagship events such as the Black Unity Bike Ride (BUBR) and the Jnr. NBA 3 v 3, while also supporting a wide range of local events including the Tower Hamlets Mile, Wandsworth Mile, Lloyd Cowan Athletics for All, and community activations like Run the Ends, Transcend, and Black to the Trails.ResponsibilitiesLead on the operational planning and delivery of school and community events, including site visits, licensing, and stakeholder liaison.Produce detailed planning documentation, including CAD/Iventis plans, production schedules, and safety documentation.Serve as Operations Lead for key LME owned events and act as a Client Lead on partnership events.Support the development of inclusive event experiences, ensuring accessibility and community needs are embedded in delivery plans.Collaborate with both the Children and Young People and the Community Engagement Team to support schools and community-led events, offering operational guidance and logistical support.Work with suppliers, contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of events, including logistics, equipment, branding, and workforce planning.Assist in the development of toolkits and resources to help schools and communities deliver their own events safely and professionally.Contribute to event debriefs and continuous improvement processes, gathering feedback from participants, partners and stakeholders.Support the delivery of inclusive events through a DEI lens, actively identifying and mitigating barriers to participation for underrepresented communities.Lead process on impact reporting & feedback through a Social Impact lens.Required skills & ExperienceProven experience in event production or operations, ideally within mass participation.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience of working with grassroots groups, across both schools and communities, and an understanding of the relationships involved.Respecting community led leadership and maintaining collaborative relationships with community groups.Confident working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Experience working with diverse communities and a passion for inclusive event delivery.Understanding of health and safety principles and event licensing processes.Experience off safe-guarding and safe-keeping of children at events.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.A collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to serve and inspire children and young people and communities to be active.Experience with project management tools and event planning software.IOSH Managing Safely qualification (desirable).Due to the nature of tis role the successful applicant will be required to complete and Advanced DBS check.The Company, operating in the Events space, requires employees to work a certain number of event days per year; the total within the year will be communicated annually. Any event days, that fall on rest days, that are worked by the employee, will be given back either via office shut down days or will be recovered by Time off in Lieu (TOIL).
