Senior Quality Inspector

Role: Senior Quality Inspector Client: BAE Systems Hourly Rate: 41.69 UMBRELLA (INSIDE IR35) Duration: 12 months, 37 hrs per week Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria (Onsite) Clearance: BPSS + SC About the role Join BAE Systems as a Senior Quality Inspector, supporting submarine projects at Barrow-in-Furness. You'll focus on receipt inspection, ensuring incoming jigs and components meet quality standards and design intent. This is a hands-on quality assurance role with a strong focus on prevention. Industry-specific experience is not required , and while steelwork or welding experience is preferred, it's not essential full training and a shadowing phase will be provided. Key responsibilities Inspect products and jigs against technical drawings and test plans. Identify and manage non-conformances, supporting corrective actions. Maintain accurate records using systems such as SAP and Teamcenter. Mentor junior team members and promote continuous improvement. Ensure high standards of safety and quality across all activities. What we're looking for Strong quality mindset with QA or QC experience. Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings. Experience with steelwork or welding is a plus but not essential.
