Job DescriptionLegal Officer (Planning and Property) Social HousingHybrid Working | 35.00 per hour (Umbrella) | ContractSector: Local AuthorityLocation : West London Working hour Mon - Fri (36 hour per week hybrid working)Duration 12 weeks with strong likelihood of extensionWe are seeking a highly skilled Legal Officer with proven experience in Social Housing legal matters to join a London Local Authoritys Legal and Democratic Services team.The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance on property-related issues, including but not limited to:Right to BuyLease ExtensionsResidents ConveyancingCollective EnfranchisementLicences for AlterationsDiscount Market Sales and Private Sector LeasingKey responsibilities include preparing legal documentation, advising internal clients, supporting title investigations and land registration, and assisting with compulsory purchase order procedures. There will also be opportunities to contribute to planning, licensing, and highways legal matters and to support junior colleagues.Applicants must possess a law degree or equivalent qualification and demonstrate experience within a local government legal department.
