Risk Lawyer

Job DescriptionA prestigious international law firm is looking for an experienced Risk Lawyer to join their team in London.The ideal candidate for the Risk Lawyer role should have proven experience within a law firm environment with a strong understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and broader legal risk issues.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on a broad range of compliance and regulatory issues.Advise on data protection matters, including data breaches and subject access requests.Interpret and apply the SRA Code of Conduct and related regulatory frameworks.Review and negotiate client terms in conjunction with Contract Lawyers.Support internal teams on compliance issues such as anti-bribery, share dealing, confidentiality, and outside interests.Review client engagement documentation including terms of business and conflict waivers.Draft, review, and update internal risk policies, processes, and procedures.Deliver firm-wide training on compliance and professional conduct.Act as a liaison for regulatory queries from Conflicts, AML, and New Business Intake teams.Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and market practices relevant to legal risk and compliance.Requirements & Qualifications:UK qualified solicitor.Prior experience in an law firm or commercial legal environment.Strong understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and broader legal risk issues.Proven experience in data protection law and contract review.This is an exciting opportunity for a Risk Lawyer to play a key role within a dynamic and forward-thinking department in an international law firm.
