Senior Software Engineer - React/Node/Nest Developer - Remote - Shares scheme We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a leading financial services organisation, where you will lead within a cross-functional squad, helping to build scalable, secure, and high-quality web applications. In this role you will act as a technical leader, setting direction through example, guiding implementation decision, and supporting the overall quality and resilience of solutions being delivered. Day-to-day you will be focused on a balance of hands-on development, technical ownership, and mentoring. What you'll do Lead frontend engineering within the squad, setting high standards for code quality, performance, and resilience while remaining hands-on with delivery Design and build modular, scalable applications using micro frontend architecture and BFF patterns Develop and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript, contributing daily to squad deliverables Provide technical oversight across design and delivery, driving continuous improvement in engineering standards and practices Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate closely with product, platform, and distributed teams in an Agile environment What you'll bring Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and Node (Nest) Proven background working as a Senior Engineer within agile, product-led environments, combining delivery with technical leadership Experience designing and working with micro frontends, BFF patterns, and modular, distributed architectures Solid understanding of CI/CD, testing strategies, and secure application development (authentication, authorisation, OWASP) Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team improvement Reasonable Adjustments: Respect and equality are core values to us.
