I am working with a leading care provider specializing in specialist children's cervices based in the Greater London. This is a start-up residential Care Home for Children with Autism & Learning Disabilities ,with the owners having big future plans they are actively seeking a dynamic, forward thinking Registered Manager to support the development, regulatory sign off, future expansion and growth plans with initially for one residential education and care home for primary school age cildren upto young adults. They have exciting plans and the backing to grow rapidly in the coming years, here you will be a key senior player on the journey with the strong possibility of future equity and senior leadership opportunities. This is a permanent Registered Manager post, with interviews potentially before Christmas and a start very early in the new year tis is a rare opportunity to be able to mold the direction of your career whilst supporting the growth of a new exciting organisation. Job Summary : The Registered Manager Children - Autism / L&D You will be responsible for supporting the start-up phase and day to day management of the new residential care home as well as being a key player and influencer on the future growth of the care home company direction. To be considered you need to have established and proven skills as a Registered Manager in a Children's services environment and must be a forward thinking flexible manager able to adapt and growth, reacting as the need arises but ALWAYS putting the care of the children at the forefront of everything you do. Here you will deliver (alongside a small team that you will help to recruit) the day to day operations within this specialist provider of care related to Children and Young People with Autism / L&D . This is a permanent role only with exciting long term opportunities, if you are driven, ambitious with a positive dynamic management style then I want to hear from you! Your established track record in a similar post is key, whilst a RGN / RMN could be useful it is not required for this role, however you will need to have a Level 5 diploma in Leadership, Management & Residential Care.You will be a strong compassionate leader who can support, lead and mentor those around you whilst not losing sight of ensuring the highest standards of quality care are always a priority. Key Responsibilities: Join and support the set up and support the development of the first residential care home for this newly established business. Support the founders by providing strong leadership, managing the day-to-day operations of the specialist residential care and education service for Children and young adults with Autism / L&D. Help the development and implementation of core care plans and packages of care as identified that are tailored to the specific needs of the children and young people. Be able to work with the CQC / Ofsted / Local H&SC organisations during the set-up phase and ongoing as required. Ensure compliance with health care regulations, CQC standards and associated regulatory requirements are met and exceeded. Help identify any training needs related to the team of health care professionals and associated care staff that you will be recruiting. Have oversight of staff plans and ensure that rotas and staff cover is planned to support the day-to-day operational requirements. Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, staff, and families. Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and implement improvements as needed. Demonstrate a commitment to the organisations values and growth plans and always act in a highly professional manner. (there is significant opportunity for personal growth and to be part of an exciting journey so strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial streak would be positively received) Liaise with health care professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate care and support. Maintain accurate records and documentation, manage your budgets effectively reporting to senior management as required. Qualifications: Level 5 diploma in Leadership, Management & Residential care DBS Enhanced - Childrens, ideally already on the continuation service At least 3-5 years experience of working in a similar role within Children's services. Must be an established Registered Care Home Manager - ideally in a Child care setting. Knowledge and experience in specialist Autism / L&D services is preferred. Dynamic, ambitious, quality focused with excellent leadership, communication, empathy and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions. Compassionate and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
