Job Description Queen Mary University of London, invites applications for a Lecturer position within the Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing (ACHA). ACHA is a pioneering collaboration between Queen Mary University of London, Barts Health NHS Trust, and Barts Charity, dedicated to advancing research and transforming care for older adults to support healthy ageing.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing translational musculoskeletal ageing research, with a particular focus on sarcopenia, osteoporosis, and frailty. The role involves developing and leading research programmes that integrate applied clinical research with service development, working closely with healthcare professionals, translational scientists, and policymakers to drive innovation in musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation for older adults.Key responsibilities include:Leading research on musculoskeletal ageing, with an emphasis on prevention and recovery strategies.Collaborating on cross-disciplinary projects at the interface of clinical, primary care, and mental health services.Developing and sustaining research funding through competitive grant applications.Embedding research within routine clinical practice, including specialised patient assessments.Contributing to the education and training of a multidisciplinary academic workforce in ageing research.About YouThis role is suited to an ambitious academic with expertise in musculoskeletal health, ageing research, or a related discipline.
