Your responsibilities include:Oversee and coordinate all hotel departments to ensure seamless operations.Take full command in the General Managers absence, ensuring continuity and decisive leadership.Lead the team through unexpected challenges with confidence, resolving issues quickly and minimising impact on guests and operations.Manage critical incidents calmly and effectively, coordinating resources and implementing solutions under pressure.Lead and motivate department heads and their teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.Handle guest complaints and queries when needed.Provide coverage for Duty Manager shifts when required, which may include weekends, Bank holidays, or evenings.Drive operational improvements and champion change initiatives.Monitor and control operational costs to achieve GOP targets.Manage labour costs, rosters, and payroll within budgetary constraints.Manage commercial processes at hotel level such as ensuring upselling and cross-selling throughout the hotel.Coordinate training and development for staff in line with hotel policy.Ensure all departmental KPIs are achievedSkills and ExperienceProven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a 4-star or lifestyle hotel.Strong leadership that inspires teams to follow your lead.Quick decision-making and ability to act fast under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Expertise in cost control and budgeting.Knowledge of hotel-level commercial processes (billing, chargebacks, commission control).Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on approach with a focus on efficiency and problem-solving.Previous experience as an operation manager or deputy GM is a plus.Join the nhow London story!
