Job Description ServiceNow - DevOps Engineer CMDB & AutomationContract duration: 6 monthsLocation: London, UK (Hybrid for 3days/week)Position OverviewWe are looking for a DevOps Engineer CMDB & Automation to join our IT Service Management and Operations team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), while driving automation initiatives across infrastructure and application environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks, with a passion for improving operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical ExpertiseHands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules.Strong knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).Any scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell).Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Process KnowledgeSolid understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration, Change, and Incident Management.Experience in integrating CMDB with monitoring and discovery tools.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.Preferred QualificationsServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) CMDB.ITIL v4 Foundation certification.Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.Exposure to monitoring tools (Splunk, Prometheus, ELK) for CI data validation.
