Quantity Surveyor

Job Description We are currently working with a forward-thinking construction and development company known for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial and residential sectors. They specialise in cut & carve projects around Central London and have won a strong amount of work for 2026. To support their continued growth plan they are looking to hire an Assistant Surveyor to join their commercial team to support the delivery of ongoing and upcoming projects.Role OverviewAs an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the senior commercial team to ensure effective cost management across the project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their QS career within a supportive and dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantitiesSupport procurement activities, including subcontractor inquiries and comparisonsHelp manage project cost control, valuations, and variationsAssist in preparing financial reports and cash flow forecastsAttend site visits and progress meetingsWork collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractorsMaintain accurate documentation and recordsAbout YouDegree (or working towards one) in Quantity Surveying or a related field12 years experience in a similar role (placement year experience welcome)Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skillsGood understanding of construction processes and commercial principlesProficient in MS Office; experience with QS software beneficialMotivated, organised, and eager to learn.
