Interim Assistant Headteacher

A specialist all-through school is seeking an Interim Assistant Headteacher to join their dedicated and supportive team immediately through to Easter 2026 . This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a setting that supports pupils with ASD, SEN, and SEMH needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational leadership across the school Support the Headteacher and SLT in driving school improvement Lead on behaviour, safeguarding, or curriculum areas as required Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and families Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service Proven leadership experience within a specialist or inclusive setting Strong understanding of ASD, SEN, and SEMH provision Ability to lead with empathy, clarity, and high expectations This role is ideal for a confident and compassionate leader who can hit the ground running and provide stability, vision, and support during a key transition period.
