Assistant Manager Live In We're seeking a passionate and service-driven Assistant Manager to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day leadership of a busy, high-profile destination pub. Working closely with the New Inn Manager, Head Chef, and senior FOH team, the Assistant Manager will help deliver consistently exceptional food, beverage, and service standards in a unique private island environment. Duties Include: Leading by example and delivering warm, attentive hospitality, managing guest flow and standards Support the New Inn Manager in overseeing daily pub operations, including stock control, ordering and deliveries, and cellar and inventory management Take responsibility for shifts, coordinating front of house, bar and kitchen teams Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed consistently, including daily sales checks and cash handling Assisting with rota planning, labour control and training and supporting team members with service standards and product knowledge Support reservations, large tables and special events Our Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management hospitality role Strong operational awareness, including bar, food service and cellar operations, and knowledge of compliance with licensing, health and safety, and food safety standards Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-expectation setting and build rapport with regular VIP and returning guests Warm and friendly with a welcoming approach High standards of dress and presentation (uniform is provided) Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment Must be organised and able to quickly become part of a very efficient team Trustworthy with the ability to work unsupervised Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to promote teamwork and a positive island culture About Tresco Island At the heart of the Isles of Scilly archipelago, 28 miles from the Cornish coast, Tresco Island is a family - run business comprising the whole island of Tresco and the Hell Bay Hotel on the neighbouring island of Bryher.
