Interior Boatbuilder

Broadreach Recruitment is looking for experienced Internal Boat Builders to support the production and fit out of high-quality vessels. This role is hands-on and detail-focused, requiring skilled tradespeople who can deliver exceptional standards of workmanship in all aspects of internal joinery, fitting, and finishing. Working as part of a dynamic team, youll be responsible for fitting interiors on a wide variety of boats from leisure craft to luxury builds. Precision, creativity, and pride in your work are essential as youll play a key role in creating high-specification interiors that meet demanding quality standards. Key Responsibilities Reading and interpreting drawings and technical plans. Fitting a variety of boat furniture to specification. Installing ply bulkheads and cabin sole bearers. Hanging and fitting cabin doors. Cladding bulkheads with polished veneered ply. Installing fibreglass components as part of the internal structure. Carrying out basic upholstery and vinyl work where required. Fitting and aligning sole boards. Undertaking occasional painting and finishing tasks. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Boat Builder, Joiner, or Fitter within the marine sector (or transferable skills from carpentry, cabinetmaking, or similar trades). Ability to read and interpret drawings with strong attention to detail. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment. Good understanding of marine interior fit-out methods and materials. Practical problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Awareness of health & safety practices in marine or workshop environments. Desirable Qualifications Apprenticeship or NVQ/SVQ in Boatbuilding, Marine Engineering, Carpentry, or a related trade. Experience working on luxury yacht or superyacht interiors. Knowledge of composite and fibreglass fit-out. TPBN1_UKTJ
