An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Raw Material Quality & Compliance Manager to join a leading luxury fashion house. This role is pivotal in safeguarding raw material excellence and regulatory compliance across the entire production lifecycle. The position plays a critical role in advancing the brand's sustainability commitments and ethical standards, ensuring full alignment with global regulatory requirements while upholding uncompromising luxury quality expectations. Based in the London office 5 days a week. You MUST speak Italian to be considered for this role (sponsorship is possible for Italian speakers). Main Responsibilities Will Include: Work in line with the Production Critical Path, proactively identifying timeline conflicts, quality risks, and required actions. Analyse and verify all raw materials used in production to ensure full compliance with internal specifications and luxury quality standards, including specialised assessment of leather and other key materials. Launch, manage, and monitor all raw material testing programmes. Review results, assess risks, and ensure any non-conformities are resolved efficiently with suppliers and factories. Request, review, organise, and maintain all quality, conformity, and sustainability certifications from suppliers. Draft and approve product composition labels in accordance with UK, EU, USA, APAC, and other applicable global regulations. Work closely with Product Development to ensure all materials are approved prior to Production Handover. Ensure compliance with product safety standards and chemical regulations (including REACH and equivalent global legislation). Monitor evolving sustainability regulations and partner with external consultants to implement compliant processes. Person Specification: Fluent in Italian. Minimum 5+ years' experience in raw material quality, compliance, or technical production within luxury fashion or a comparable high-end environment. Preferably a degree in textile engineering or similar. Highly detail-oriented with the ability to anticipate risks, interpret test data, and implement practical, commercially viable solutions.
