Senior Commercial Manager (QS)

Cedar Recruitment are supporting a well regarded engineering company with the recruited of an experienced Senior Commercial Manager within M&E to take ownership of the commercial function on major projects across the City of London. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone with very strong Quantity Surveying / Commercial management background and who possesses a proven track record of delivering on large infrastructure programmes. For the role you MUST be able to get work in the office 4-5 days per week in London and the salary on offer for the role is 100,000 - 120,000 per annum. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of the commercial management of M&E sub-contracts across the project life cycle Lead on contract negotiation, ongoing contract administration, and adhering to NEC contractual requirements Provide commercial expertise to tender submissions and broader business development efforts Partner with finance and project delivery teams to support accurate forecasting, cost control, and performance reporting Promoting effective commercial practices within a highly regulated, greenfield delivery environment Engage both confidently and professionally with stakeholders, building and maintaining strong working relationships Essential Requirements: Proven experience in senior commercial / QS roles on M&E sub-contract or infrastructure projects Strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) commercial / QS experience In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and construction law Experience of working for an organisation that has acted as a sub-contractor to a Tier 1 client is highly desirable. Possess Excellent stakeholder and client management skills Degree qualified with professional membership (MRICS / CIOB or equivalent) Subcontract on major infrastructure projects experience highly desirable TPBN1_UKTJ
