We carry out investigations by obtaining, analysingand assessing intelligence, and then work with a range of partners, including MI6 and GCHQto disrupt these threats. Through our protective security arm, we provide advice andguidance to government, businesses and other organisations about how to keep themselvessafe. A role in MI5 means youll do unique and challenging work in a supportive andencouraging environment, making a real difference to UK national security.The roleAs a Pensions Administrator, youll be part of the team overseeing pensions for colleaguesacross MI5 and MI6. Youll answer enquiries, provide guidance and work with current andpast MI5 and MI6 staff to keep them updated on pension matters. And youll do it all as partof a welcoming, supportive workplace thats committed to helping you fulfil your potential.Youll bring an existing knowledge of HR, pensions or payroll to the team and takeresponsibility for a variety of tasks. You might be completing all processes related topensions including calculations, updating records and filing personal informationcompliantly. With your attention to detail, youll be trusted with sensitive information andwork efficiently whilst adhering to legal obligations.Youll establish your place in a growing department and regularly collaborate with teamsacross Policy, Payroll and HR. And youll get the chance to take on individual project work tohelp with your own development. Please note that whilst there are no line managementresponsibilities in this role, you will act as a mentor to junior staff. Whether youre providingadvice and guidance or meeting deadlines, youll provide a reliable service across MI5 andMI6 that ensures pensions are secure and properly managed.About youYoull have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or pension-specific sector(such as HR or payroll). This will be supported by a minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade 4/C orabove in mathematics and English language (or an equivalent Level 2 qualification), andproficiency with IT. And of course, youll be comfortable working with numbers and haveconfident maths and calculation skills.Organised and able to balance multiple tasks at once, youll also be customer-focused,collaborative and an effective communicator. Youll be taking queries by phone or email andwill be required to answer colleague questions with clarity. Plus, youll have experiencehandling complaints and difficult conversations. Importantly, youll have a passion forpensions and be excited about the chance to contribute to MI5 and MI6s work.nTraining and developmentWhen you join, youll be assigned a dedicated buddy to help you settle in and get on-the-jobtraining from our pension specialists. Plus, youll have access to internal training coursesavailable from any of the UKs Intelligence Services, as well as access to internalcommunities, support networks, and mentors.And if youre interested, youll also get the option to gain a CIPD or similar pensionaccreditation (subject to places).
