The firms unique composition of expert professionals across fund management, investment banking, legal, tax and accounting has shaped a best-in-class institutional family office.Job DescriptionThis is an exceptional opportunity for a high-calibre professional to take on wide ranging, impactful responsibilities and to develop a well-rounded career as a leader at Westgrove.We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development / Marketing Manager with expertise in client origination amongst Chinese-speaking clients, building strong and loyal ultra-high net worth (UHNW) relationships, and driving new AUM through onboarding of such clients. As an individual with extensive networks in the UHNW Chinese-speaking community, the ideal candidate brings the ability to originate such clients, market the Firms Family Office and investment services and deliver a client experience aligned with the Firms ethos. Job ResponsibilitiesThe duties will include, but are not limited to:Client Origination & AUM Growth proactively originate new Chinese-speaking UHNW client relationships across key markets, driving AUM growth across family office client relationships and direct investments. Maintain a strong pipeline of qualifying prospects and convert into long-term clients. Act as a primary point of contact for such newly-onboarded clients, ensuring a seamless transition from prospect to long-term relationship. Collaborate with the wider team to produce bespoke client proposals. Stay informed on global trends and leverage market insights to identify emerging prospect pools and refine the Firms origination strategy.Brand Ambassador - participate and drive marketing and promotional activities to expand the Firms reach amongst the Chinese-speaking community.Compliance & Risk Management - ensure all interactions and client onboarding activities meet regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions. Escalate potential risks and contribute to the Firms high standards of governance and conduct.All other ad-hoc duties. Skills and RequirementsNative (or fluent) Chinese speaker, including a requirement for fluency in technical business Chinese;Degree holder with previous experience within business, investments and/or financial services;Solid knowledge of business and finance, and needs of the offshore Chinese community; Exceptional pre-existing network of UHNW prospects in the Chinese-speaking community; Understanding of client relationship management; andExperience navigating cross-border dynamics preferred.Entrepreneurial drive, as well as commercial awareness and acumen;Exceptional relationship-building skills and a broad network of UHNW families, HNWIs and principals;A solid technical understanding of family office offerings and the ability to deliver these to clients in an appropriate manner;Ability to identify emerging family office themes and match with client demand;Well-referenced professional with high personal integrity;High degree of emotional intelligence alongside exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal;Able to deal with pressure and tight deadlines; Desire to work in a collegiate and dynamic team; andSelf-motivated and driven.Compensation: c.60,000 p.a. + performance-based bonus. The role will be onsite at the Firms London office in Mayfair.
