This is a high-impact leadership role focused on integrating climate risk and ESG factors into the broader prudential risk framework across financial institutions.You will spearhead initiatives that embed ESG into ICAAP processes, credit risk models, and stress testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will also lead engagements related to key regulatory frameworks such as TCFD, SFDR, and PACTA, and drive strategic advisory across financial services clients.This is a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong UK presence and client network to shape and grow a climate and ESG risk offering within a dynamic and entrepreneurial consultancy environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and integration of ESG and climate risk into prudential risk functions (e.g. ICAAP, credit risk, stress testing).Advise clients on the evolving regulatory landscape, particularly TCFD, SFDR, PACTA, and related UK/EU frameworks.Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across banks, asset managers, and regulatory bodies.Support clients with climate scenario analysis, transition planning, and ESG risk quantification.Lead cross-functional teams on regulatory readiness, disclosure reporting, and climate-related risk assessments.Contribute to business development activities, leveraging your UK network to identify and convert new opportunities.Represent the firm at industry forums and contribute to whitepapers, thought leadership, and internal ESG knowledge development.Mentor and manage junior team members, fostering a high-performance ESG and climate risk team.Requirements11+ years experience in climate risk, ESG, or prudential risk within financial services (consulting and/or banking).Demonstrated track record in integrating ESG into ICAAP, credit risk, and stress testing frameworks.Deep knowledge of UK and EU climate risk regulations (e.g. TCFD, SFDR, PACTA) and financial supervisory expectations.Strong existing network in the UK financial services market, with several years of UK-based experience.Familiarity with climate risk data, modelling tools, and methodologies (e.g., NGFS scenarios, carbon pricing).Strategic thinker with proven client-facing and business development skills.Degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MSc, CFA, PRM) a plus.Whats on OfferLeadership position within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consultancy.Opportunity to shape and scale a high-impact ESG and climate risk offering in the UK.Collaborative, pan-European team with access to diverse, high-profile financial services clients.Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
