Associate Director, M&A - Pharmaceutical

Job DescriptionWe are currently supporting a Private Equity-backed Pharmaceutical on an Associate Director, M&A hire as they look to expand their portfolio through in-organic growth.In this role you will be joining an established and high-performing team. Therefore, it is essential you are able to demonstrate examples working part of a Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical M&A function.Role ResponsibilitiesConduct primary and secondary market research to identify and evaluate marketed and pre-commercial stage targetsSizing in-licensing and acquisition opportunities as well as lifecycle opportunities using public domain databases, epidemiology, reviewing published clinical literature, analyzing pricing information and performing competitive landscape analysisSupport both Commercial and Financial Due Diligence activities through independent work and broader project management of other advisorsBuild and analyse complex financial models and evaluationsMaintaining the M&A pipelineExperience Required:5+ years experience in M&A, Investment Banking, or Strategic Finance within the Pharmaceutical/ Life Sciences industryFinancial modelling and evaluation expertiseExcellent business acumen with the ability to asses the strategic impact of transactionsExceptional communication skillsPan-European transactions experience is a strong preferenceDegree in a Life Sciences discipline is preferred but not essential
