Job DescriptionJunior Portfolio Manager Alternative CreditLondon, 4 days in the office per week | Institutional Asset Owner (large pension scheme)1bn portfolio oversight | Direct & manager-led strategies | High-impact roleA large, well known UK-based institutional asset owner with 30bn in AUM is seeking a Junior Portfolio Manager to join its Alternative Credit team. Youll be responsible for managing 1bn in AUM, deployed across a wider variety of sub-investment grade instruments. The RoleThis is a hands-on investment role with broad exposure across the portfolio. Working closely with the Head of Desk, youll help shape and implement strategies across the alternative credit spectrum, from manager selection to direct and co-investments.Key responsibilities include:Managing day-to-day portfolio activity and cash flows, with oversight from senior leadershipConducting investment research and generating ideas across relevant asset classesContributing to co-investment and direct investment executionPreparing and delivering analysis and presentations to senior stakeholdersEngaging closely with internal and external parties to ensure seamless execution and governanceSupporting sourcing, evaluation, and monitoring of fund managersLeading aspects of manager tenders, including fee negotiation and documentationYour ProfileIf youre an early- to mid-career investment professional with a background in institutional asset management, alternative credit, or manager research, wed like to hear from you.
