Interaction Designer (SC Cleared)

Location: Mostly Remote (occasional travel for research may be required)Sector: Public IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Clearance: Active SC required Overview We are seeking an experienced Interaction Designer with a strong background in Public Sector projects and Government Digital Services (GDS). You will play a key role in designing user-centred services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and shaping the strategy for digital service transformation. Key Responsibilities Coach and mentor other interaction designers, nurturing skill development and providing constructive feedback on their work Champion user-centred design principles and communicate their value to a range of audiences and stakeholders Understand and work within technical constraints that impact design decisions Use extensive visual and interaction design knowledge to create usable, accessible and responsive user interfaces Lead workshops, facilitate discussions, and support collaborative service design across professions Participate in user research activities and translate insights into actionable design outcomes Produce sketches, concepts and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity, including interactive prototypes using the GOV.UK Prototyping Kit Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including policy, operations, product, delivery, system design and user-centred design specialists Advocate for inclusive and user-centred design practices across the organisation Support the development of service strategies and transformation roadmaps Requirements Active SC clearance Extensive experience working on GDS-aligned Public Sector programmes Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design and prototyping Excellent communication, collaboration and facilitation skills What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
