Legal Secretary - Manchester Permanent Who are we MCR Property Group is a leading independent real estate investment and development company operating nationally, with offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow. The business is primarily focused on the development of new build and conversion residential and industrial projects, alongside the active management of a diverse portfolio covering every major asset class. Our role MCR Property Group is currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join its team in Manchester. This role will form a key part of the legal and corporate support function and will suit someone who thrives in a structured, confidential, and detail-driven environment. As our Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for managing court and legal diaries, drafting legal correspondence, and handling sensitive KYC documentation and other confidential materials. The role will involve supporting the company's statutory and regulatory obligations, ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant legislation, and maintaining accurate corporate records. This will include maintaining statutory books, preparing and filing annual returns, arranging and supporting board and company meetings, preparing board minutes, and advising directors on their duties where appropriate. You will also play a role in corporate governance and risk management, ensuring that internal processes and records remain robust, accurate, and compliant. About you Applicants should have demonstrable experience in maintaining statutory records, including shareholdings, directors, and registered office details, and in preparing and submitting documentation to Companies House using online filing systems. A strong understanding of company secretarial procedures and relevant legislation is essential, along with excellent organisational skills, strong time management, and a high level of attention to detail. You should be comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information and able to manage competing priorities in a professional and composed manner.
