This role is key for the smooth day-to-day running of our production in-house and beyond, ensuring the team operates efficiently, profitably, and collaboratively.About UsWe are a creative event production company specialising in scenic build and lighting design for events, including product launches, corporate and private parties, weddings, festivals, and brand activations across the UK and Europe.The RoleThe primary focus of this position is to oversee the daily operations of our workshop, warehouse, and on-site delivery. You will play a key role in coordinating departments, improving efficiency, and ensuring high standards across all operational areas.You will manage and support the logistics, purchasing, workshop, and warehouse teams, ensuring all departments are aligned and performing effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies, improving processes, and maintaining productivity within a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential, as you will be responsible for team management, staff reviews, and recruitment.Alongside operational oversight, the role includes elements of financial administration using Xero, including freelancer payments, payroll coordination, and client invoicing.This position requires hands-on experience in the event production industry. We are looking for someone who combines strong management and organisational skills with a practical, team-oriented attitude, as well as being equally comfortable leading strategy, and stepping onto the warehouse floor when needed.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company within the events industry, running varied projects alongside a driven and friendly team.---------------------Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementOversee the day-to-day running of warehouse and workshop operationsDrive efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all departmentsImplement and maintain company policies and proceduresEnsure Health & Safety standards are upheld at all timesProduction & LogisticsOversee our Logistics Department and support crew bookings and vehicle logisticsManage and support purchasing across the businessLiaise with the Workshop Production Manager on schedules, timelines, and deliveryEnsure smooth coordination and delivery of rental and production bookingsSupport warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy of transport loading and efficient workflowsOversee workshop maintenance and general housekeepingTeam LeadershipManage, support, and develop operational teamsConduct staff reviews and assist with recruitmentFoster a positive, proactive, and collaborative working environmentFinance & AdministrationAllocate crew costs to projectsPrepare payroll reports for external PAYE processingCollate and verify freelancer invoicesOversee invoice processing and supplier statementsIssue weekly client statementsManage credit card and expense reconciliationQuality & ReportingMaintain quality control across workshop and warehouse operationsLiaise closely with Directors, providing regular updates and highlighting any risks or issues---------------------Health & SafetyMaintain a strong working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements across workshop, warehouse, and live event environmentsPrepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements where requiredAdditional InformationDue to the nature of the events industry, occasional evening and weekend work will be requiredSalary will be dependent on experience and the value the candidate brings to the businessThis is a full-time role based on a 45-hour working week, with a six-month probation period
