Junior Legal Counsel – Contract RoleLocation: United Kingdom Contract Type: TemporaryWe are seeking a junior legal counsel to join our legal team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with commercial experience to support a wide range of partnership and distribution arrangements in a fast-moving environment.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in contract law and an interest in working closely with business teams to support innovative commercial activity. You will be responsible for providing legal guidance on commercial agreements and operational processes, with a practical and solution-focused approach.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, assess, and negotiate a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts, including those related to third-party sales and distribution.Partner with teams across finance, operations, and compliance to support the rollout and ongoing management of partner-led offerings.Contribute to the refinement and global alignment of legal templates, contract workflows, and scalable documentation standards.Translate legal requirements into actionable guidance for commercial stakeholders and support their decision-making with practical input.Identify legal implications across partnership structures, internal authorisation processes, and organisational risk protocols.What You BringA law degree (or comparable legal qualification) from a well-regarded academic institution.Eligibility to practise law in the UK and hold a current practising certificate.Around 2–3 years of qualified legal experience, ideally from a recognised law firm or established in-house legal department.A collaborative approach with the ability to work with minimal supervision when needed.Direct experience working with business-facing legal matters, especially involving contracts related to partnerships, licensing, or technology (desirable but not required).Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for explaining legal matters in plain, business-friendly language.A curious mindset with an eye for improving systems and a drive to enhance efficiency and clarity in legal operations.
