Job DescriptionData Steward Manager Location: Liverpool (hybrid minimum three days in office)Contract type: 6-monthsThe opportunityWe are working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Data Steward Manager for their Liverpool office on a six-month contract basis.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data professional with a strong background in data quality and team leadership. The successful candidate will oversee a team of Data Stewards, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client and matter data that underpins key areas of the firm, including Risk, Finance, and Business Development.If you are process-driven, detail-focused, and confident working with stakeholders across all levels of a business, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.Key responsibilitiesSupervising a team of Data Stewards and ensuring service levels are metManaging the scheduling, prioritisation, and distribution of tasksMaintaining and cleansing client and matter data in line with regulatory standardsConducting audits to identify incomplete or inconsistent data and rectifying issuesVerifying that new data entries meet minimum quality standardsLiaising with stakeholders to resolve data-related concernsReviewing internal processes and driving improvements where neededHandling change requests where no risk review is requiredPerforming regular data housekeeping across key systemsSupporting the Head of Risk with team training, development, and performance reviewsHelping to establish and promote best practice across the teamCandidate profileEssential skills and experience:Previous experience in a Data Steward or similar data management roleStrong IT and administrative skillsExcellent attention to detail and the ability to analyse and summarise dataClear and confident written and verbal communicationAbility to manage workload effectively and delegate as appropriateExperience working with a range of stakeholders, including senior managementDesirable:Prior experience supervising or training team membersExperience within a legal or professional services environmentFamiliarity with compliance and practice management systemsPersonal attributes:Proactive, reliable, and results-drivenStrong team ethic with a collaborative approachProfessional and client-focusedAdaptable to new processes, systems, and technologiesCommitted to high standards and continuous improvementWhy apply?This is a great opportunity to join a highly respected, forward-thinking firm that values quality, integrity, and innovation.
