Product Technologist - Homeware- 3 months FTC

About you: As a Product Technologist on our Homeware team, youll work closely with the relevant Buying department in order to develop and update products whilst maintaining quality standards. Set quality standards and specifications to ensure Matalan achieves its goal of delivering outstanding value to its customers, contributing to continued growth for the company. Educate our supplier base, ensuring product performance requirements are established and maintained through continuous testing and monitoring Agree manufacturing methods that are achievable in bulk production, resulting in products that will perform to requirements after purchase. Work closely with the Buying department, aiming to build new quality initiatives into products to constantly improve the customer offer Undertake supplier visits to improve quality standards, building strong working relationships and increasing personal knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and developments. Use your initiative and creative thinking to solve manufacturing and/or supplier issues About you: Relevant, practical experience within a QA/QC department Experience of working within the Homeware and/or Gifting categories Strong PC skills, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to influence and negotiation at all levels TPBN1_UKTJ
