Job Description Our client is a global industrial engineering business seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant to support their UK Sales operation. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on sales administration and commercial support activities with strong use of ERP systems. The successful candidate will act as a key link between the commercial field team and internal systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and high levels of customer service.The role reports directly to the Sales Director, with day-to-day guidance and support provided by the Team Leader.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and maintain product codes within internal systemsCreate and manage new customer account setupsPrepare and issue customer quotations accurately and efficientlyTake ownership of internal customer trade agreements, ensuring they are correctly recorded and maintainedManage and update customer cataloguesMaintain and ensure accuracy of data within the ERP systemHandle general queries from both internal stakeholders and external customersSupport invoice processing and ensure timely and accurate billingAct as a central coordination point between the commercial field team and internal departmentsAssist with multiple administrative and commercial processes across the divisionProvide support for the future rollout and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)Skills & ExperienceAt least 2 years experience in an office based sales team (ideally within a manufacturing environment) as a Sales Administration or Commercial Support role. Retail or hospitality sales unfortunately won't be sufficient here!Strong organisational skills with high attention to detailProficiency in ERP systems (experience with D365 is advantageous) is requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approachGood knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Personal AttributesTeam-oriented with a collaborative mindsetReliable and adaptableCustomer-focused approachAbility to work independently and take ownership of tasksWhat's On OfferThe opportunity to be part of a leading global businessExposure to a wide range of commercial and operational processesInvolvement in upcoming system transformation (D365 rollout)Supportive team environment and development opportunities
