Applications are welcomed from candidates based anywhere in the UK to support a nationwide customer base.What you'll be doing as Mechanical Project ManagerAs Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for projects from order acceptance through to customer acceptance and final invoicing. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification, while protecting contractual and commercial interests.Key responsibilities include:Leading, motivating and supporting project teamsManaging contracts from handover to completion and final paymentCoordinating internal resources, suppliers and subcontractorsEnsuring manufacture and/or installation meets agreed scope and technical specificationsMonitoring project costs, programme, risk, WIP, invoicing and cash flowManaging variations and additional charges in line with contract conditionsActing as the main point of contact for customers and representing their interestsEnsuring compliance with quality assurance and health 'safety proceduresProducing and maintaining full project documentationProviding regular progress and cost reports to senior managementSupporting debt collection activities where requiredProcuring equipment and services within company systems and authority levelsUK travel to customer and supplier sites, with limited EU travel for inspectionsWhat we're looking for in a Mechanical Project ManagerYou'll be a confident and commercially aware Mechanical Project Manager with a strong engineering background and the ability to manage people, performance, and priorities effectively.Essential skills & experience:Proven people management experienceDemonstrable project management experience within Mechanical Engineering, industrial refrigeration, or a closely related sectorStrong planning, organisation and communication skillsAbility to work independently and deliver contracts profitably and safelyEngineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred) in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Thermodynamic disciplinesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and ideally electrical drawingsCompetent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and ProjectExperience producing project documentation for industrial/commercial refrigeration projectsDesirable:Knowledge of thermodynamicsUnderstanding of contract conditions and financial managementWhat's on offer for the for a Mechanical Project ManagerYou'll be rewarded with a fantastic salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:Salary Up to £80,000p.aCompany vehicle or allowance25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysDefined contribution pension schemePrivate medical insuranceCompany sick pay schemeContinued professional development, including funded role-related qualificationsYou'll be part of a highly skilled, forward-thinking team delivering cutting-edge industrial refrigeration solutions for major mechanical projects across the UK.
