Class 2 Driver

Flexible People Ltdare currently recruiting both days and nights Class 2drivers for multidrop deliveries of frozen and chilled foods to customer premises for one of their prestigious clients based in Grantham.This is aphysically demanding roleand is best suited for Class 2 drivers who are comfortable with manual handling and working in cold conditions.Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.The rate of pay for the day shift is 20.39ph inclusive of holiday payThe rate of pay for the night shift is22.43ph inclusive of holiday payThe company operate 7 days a week, you will be offered a 5 or 6 day rota. Weekend work will be involved.The RoleThe Class to driver will complete multidrop deliveries of frozen and chilled food productsSignificanthandball involved, including moving full pallets into customer premisesWorking in freezer and chilled environmentsEarly starts and physically intensive shiftsThis role requires a good level of fitness and a strong work ethic.Training & OnboardingSuccessful Class 2 candidates will complete one week of in-store trainingFollowed by buddying with an experienced driver for several days to ensure full competencyUniform will be provided after completion of the initial 13-week probation periodCandidates must provide their own suitable cold-weather clothing during probationImportant Interview & Assessment ProcessInterviews/assessments are unpaidEach interview can last up to 3 hours and it will includeDriving assessmentFace-to-face interviewWritten test (mainly CPC-based questions)Essential RequirementsValid Class 2 (Cat C) licenceCPC and tachograph cardComfortable with heavy manual handlingWilling to work in frozen and chilled environmentsAppropriate PPE for interview/assessment dayDocuments to Bring to InterviewHi-vis jacket/vestGlovesSteel toe-cap footwearYou must have a valid UK License, CPC and Digitacho, no more than 6 points on your driving license.
