Job Title: Inventory PlannerLocation: Lincoln (On-site)Contract: 6-Month ContractMake sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to support Service operations on a 6-month contract based in Lincoln. This role is critical to ensuring effective inventory control across spares, repairs, overhauls, and service modifications, while minimising cost, excess stock, and obsolescence risk.Key ResponsibilitiesManage service inventory to support spares orders, overhauls, repairs, and modificationsTranslate demand forecasts into short- and long-term inventory plansProactively manage slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock in collaboration with OperationsEnsure material availability while controlling inventory cost and financial exposureCoordinate closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Sales teamsManage aged work-in-progress and support cross-functional issue resolutionProduce inventory performance and efficiency reports for senior managementDrive process and system improvements within SAP and supporting databasesRequired Skills & ExperienceDegree qualified in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or equivalent professional qualification (CIPS, IOM, Institute of Logistics)Minimum 5 years experience in inventory, logistics, or supply chain managementStrong SAP knowledge (Materials Management, PM, Sales & Marketing)Advanced Excel and forecasting tool capabilityCommercially aware, analytical, xjdpvnf and detail-focusedConfident communicator with the ability to challenge and improve inventory processesProven experience managing inventory change, obsolescence, and process improvementThis is a hands-on, operational role suited to someone who can quickly add value, work proactively across departments, and drive inventory efficiency in a fast-paced service environment.If you are available for a 6-month contract in Lincoln and have strong SAP-driven inventory experience, we would love to hear from you.
