Then look no further Class 2 Driver Salary 14.62 per hour Hours 40 hours per week, 06.30 15.00 Location Chorley, PR26 7PF As a Class 2 Driver at FCC Environment, you will support waste and recycling collection services in Chorley. You will be responsible for driving up to 26-tonne vehicles and assisting with the safe collection of domestic waste and recycling materials, including food waste, glass, plastics, paper, and card. Youll also play a key role in maintaining depot standards and ensuring all vehicle and safety procedures are followed. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week. Our promise to you - Competitive salary - 28 days annual leave (full-time working) - Pension scheme - On-the-job training and progression - Recognition scheme - Refer a friend scheme - Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle to work scheme, Gymflex membership, holiday purchase and many more (Where applicable) - Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing Platform What will you be doing? - Driving a refuse/recycling vehicle - Reporting any accidents, near-misses, dangerous occurrences or dangerous conditions to line management - Working as part of a team to complete domestic and recycling collections, primarily as a driver (on occasion, you may be required to provide assistance with collections) - Overseeing the vehicle at the council tipping points, ensuring the crews follow laid down Health and Safety Processes - Managing your designated vehicle and carrying out necessary vehicle checks - Overseeing all paperwork and reporting all incidents on the rounds What are we looking for? - A valid Cat C licence - Valid digital tachograph card and Driver CPC (minimum 35 hours completed) - Reliable with strong team leadership - Experience in waste collection is desirable but not essential full training will be provided - Local area knowledge is advantageous - Committed to health and safety best practices Please note, this role will involve loading as well as driving.
