Hybrid Working Opportunity This role is eligible for the hybrid working benefit, requiring the successful candidate to attend our Harrietsham office three days per week, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days a week once deemed competent to work independently and in line with the business needs. You will be responsible for routine website updates, content publishing, and monitoring site performance, assisting with basic analytics and reporting on key statistics to inform our strategy. Additionally, you will be a key part of the team, working closely with colleagues to produce, shoot, and edit original video content, as well as editing existing footage into finished assets for various campaigns and providing active support for our social media channels. This role is ideal for a talented self-starter with a keen eye for both technical detail and visual creativity. Roles and Responsibilities: Website Content Management: Perform routine updates to the website(s), including adding, formatting, and publishing new copy, images, and media files. Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct regular checks of the website across different browsers and devices to ensure functionality, correct display, and detect/correct broken links or accessibility issues. Basic Technical Support: Implement minor front-end edits and fixes using HTML and CSS to troubleshoot layout issues or update basic site styling. Digital Reporting: Assist in the use of analytics tools (Google Analytics) to monitor website performance, track key statistics, and prepare basic reports for the marketing team. SEO & Web Performance: Ensure all published content (text, images, and video assets) is properly tagged, optimised for speed, and adheres to basic SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) best practices. Video Editing & Post-Production: Take raw footage (both original and existing assets) and execute proficient video editing, including cutting, colour correction, audio mixing, and adding motion graphics using software like Adobe Premiere Pro. Content Production: Support the full cycle of video creation from pre-production (e.g., basic scripting or storyboarding) through to delivery, including occasional assistance with filming and asset gathering on location or in-house. Social Media Support: Adapt and format video and graphic content specifically for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and assist the team with scheduling and publishing. Asset Management: Organise and maintain a clean, accessible library of all raw footage, projects, and final video assets for archival and future use. Graphic Support: Create and resize supporting digital graphics and still assets (e.g. video thumbnails, social tiles, website banners) using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Qualifications: A course (e.g., HND, NVQ, college diploma, or degree) in Digital Media, Web Design, Film/Video, Communications, or similar is desirable. Self-taught, bootcamps, apprenticeships, and real-world experience are equally valued. Portfolio: A showreel, portfolio, or links to your work short-form video edits, social clips, basic websites, or HTML/CSS snippets. No formal portfolio? No problem. Examples of (e.g., a Google Drive/Dropbox folder, GitHub link, TikTok/Instagram/Reels youve edited, a simple site you made, or before/after edits) required. Preferred Skills: Design/Graphics Tools: Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop for image and graphic manipulation. Proactive & Self-Motivated: A genuine self-starter who actively seeks out tasks, proposes solutions, and demonstrates initiative, rather than waiting for instructions. Organised & Prioritised: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, prioritise multiple projects simultaneously, and meet demanding deadlines for both website updates and video output. Problem-Solver: A resourceful mindset with the aptitude to quickly troubleshoot issues, particularly minor technical problems on the website (HTML/CSS), before escalating. Collaborative Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work productively with diverse internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, communications, IT teams) and external partners. Video Software Proficiency: Proven hands-on proficiency with industry-standard non-linear editing (NLE) software. CMS Experience: Practical experience using at least one major Content Management System (CMS), such as WordPress or similar, for content publishing. Coding Fundamentals: Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS for content formatting and basic troubleshooting. Analytics Knowledge: Experience with web analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics. Filming Experience: Basic knowledge of camera operation, sound recording, and lighting techniques for small-scale corporate or social video shoots.
