Cost Controller

PROMAN UK are recruiting a Cost Controller to join our client's Marine and Tunnelling team, working across our London and Suffolk offices, supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most important low-carbon infrastructure projects.As Cost Controller, we are looking for someone who will take ownership of financial compliance on the project — ensuring that project costs are accurately recorded, analyzed, and reported in line with client's rigorous governance procedures. This includes working closely with teams across Commercial, Production, Finance, and Cost Control to drive accountability and visibility of spend throughout the project this role, you will: Support monthly cost closing, including accruals, cost re-allocations, and invoice reviewsTrack and review costs against budgets and forecast end-of-site quantitiesMonitor and investigate variances in cost and productivity across multiple workstreamsPrepare and review monthly cost control reports with the Production teamContribute to quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting cyclesEnsure compliance with internal processes for subcontractor and supplier ordersHelp resolve any cost discrepancies or supplier account issues as they arise You will play a key part in creating a culture of cost-conscious decision-making and will need to be confident engaging across disciplines to fully understand the scope and progress of ongoing works.We are looking for someone who: Has strong experience in cost control or finance within a complex engineering or construction environmentUnderstands project cost drivers and how to communicate them clearly and effectivelyCan build strong working relationships with Production, Commercial, and Finance teamsWorks well under pressure and to reporting deadlinesIdeally has experience using Edifice or similar cost control systems This is a great opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes in a role that offers challenge, impact, and long-term career potential.Why Apply?Join a high-impact project, grow your career, and work with a collaborative, expert team.Please send your CV to Let's build a brighter, cleaner future together.The salary posted is indicative and dependent upon experience.Our clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
