IMS Governance Manager MARG03 Sizewell C, Suffolk - Hybrid role PAYE 643.71 or 890.71 Umbrella Job Purpose / Overview The SZC project is utilising intelligent replication of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project in order to provide the benefits of being next-of-a-kind. The intelligent replication includes utilising the benefits, experience and learning form the HPC project delivered by its management system. The SZC Integrated Management System (IMS) Lead will work with the HPC project and SZC stakeholders to manage the intelligent replication, adoption and migration process of HPC IMS content, develop SZC End-to-End process and manage changes, updates and continuous improvement to the implemented arrangements. The IMS Governance Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, management, maintenance governance, and continuous improvement of the IMS, necessary for the delivery of the SZC project. This includes the relevant safety, health, environmental, security, quality and economic elements that enable SZC to licence, develop, construct, commission and operate a new nuclear power stations in the UK. The IMS Governance Manager within SS&A will have significant depth and breadth of expertise in the development & application of management systems and the associated enterprise architecture and IT environments.. The IMS Governance Manager is responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance and continuous improvement of the IMS infrastructure. The IMS Governance Manager's responsibility n includes ensuring that the enterprise architecture repository is developed, well maintained and fit for purpose and includes the responsibility for business/process architecture and content management. The IMS Governance Manageris also responsible for governance of the IMS, ensuring lessons learned are shared between HPC and SZC projects, leading the IMS Review Panel, publishing and managing IMS content, reporting IMS metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), managing audits and self-assessment of IMS arrangements and is accountable to the PDO for regulatory Licence Condition compliance and to the Client organisation for certification of the IMS to international standards. The incumbent will develop and direct departmental plans, including business, operational and/or organisational priorities to ensure effective utilisation of resources to deliver the IMS. The IMS Governance Manager will have the interpersonal skills and experience to develop and lead an IMS team who will work collaboratively with the various Process Owners, Regulators, Alliances and other stakeholders both inside and outside of the organisation. They will have the relevant experience and expertise to provide advice to the business on aspects relating to the IMS, and where necessary the ability to exercise their authority to make decisions regarding the IMS to best meet the needs of the SZC project. Principal Accountabilities The post holder has responsibility for a number of key processes (below); Maintain and improve the IMS in line with LC17, ONR expectations, IAEA standards, and ISO principles. Ensure policies, processes, and procedures are controlled, current, and effectively implemented through oversight and governance processes. Coordinate and support external certifications & audits Provides data to support regular management reviews, ensuring inputs, actions, and follow-up support continual improvement and compliance. Monitor and deliver evidence of IMS compliance during ONR inspections, audits, and internal/external reviews. Monitor and report on adherence arrangements, identifying gaps, risks, and corrective/preventive actions. Embed IMS requirements across engineering, construction, safety, supply chain, and support functions. Act as the IMS focal point for internal stakeholders and external partners, including suppliers and contractors. Provide training, coaching, and awareness on IMS processes and governance. Maintain a working relationship with the HPC project and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into the IMS for its continuous improvement Leads IMS governance forums and develops the IMS Governance Team, managing day-to-day priorities and performance. Deputise for the QA Manager where required. Dimensions The IMS Governance Manager reports to the Quality Assurance Manager The IMS Governance Manager will develop the IMS function and obtain the support and resources needed to effectively implement and oversee the IMS and support all users across the business. The IMS Governance Manager is responsible for compliance to ONR regulatory Licence Condition 17 The IMS Lead is responsible to the Client organisation for compliance to the certified ISO standards Located at London/ Barnwood but also provides site support and engagement at SZC site as required. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience Knowledge & Skills Strong interpersonal skills. Able to engage credibly within and external to the business. Able to initiate and develop new relationships with people at all levels in the organisation to benefit all parties Ability to influence and encourage change of behaviours across a wide range of organisational levels Expert knowledge of Integrated Management Systems, ISO 9001, ISO 19443, ISO 14001 and interrelated processes such as ISO 45001, GSR-2/3. Strong presentation and communication skills able to present at multiple organisational levels and to external regulators and stakeholders Qualifications & Experience Essential Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate experience in highly regulated industry/major project environment IRCA Certified Lead Auditor or able to demonstrate equivalent experience Extensive experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Management Systems Extensive experience in the application of ISO management system standards Experience in management, governance and strategy of enterprise architecture content Experience in developing, managing & supervising smaller teams Desirable Large-scale infrastructure project experience Experience within the nuclear industry and UK regulatory environment Experience of working with Regulators within a dynamic environment Experience in the application of nuclear management system standards TPBN1_UKTJ
