Ongoing investment in people and machinery, combined with a loyal, long-serving workforce, makes this an excellent long-term career opportunity.Job ProfileAs a CNC Machinist (CNC Turner) on the late shift, you will program, set and operate 2-axis CNC lathes to produce high-precision components. This is a hands-on role requiring strong drawing interpretation skills, attention to detail and experience working to tight tolerances across a range of materials.DutiesProgram, set and operate 2-axis CNC turning machinesWrite and edit programs at the machine using Fanuc (G-Code / Manual Guide i)Set tooling, materials, feeds and speedsCarry out in-process inspection using precision measuring equipmentProduce low to medium volume components to tight tolerancesMachine a variety of metals, including larger components (hoist training provided)Maintain high standards of quality and continuous improvementSkills & AttributesTime-served CNC Turner / CNC MachinistStrong experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC lathesConfident with Fanuc controls, G-code and Manual Guide iExcellent engineering drawing and tolerance interpretationSelf-motivated, quality-focused and able to work independentlyExperience machining a range of metalsEducation / CertificatesEngineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience preferredHours of WorkDay or Night shifts availableDays:Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2.30pmNights:Monday to Wednesday 4:30pm 3:30am, Thursday 4:30pm 1:30amInterested?This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner to join a stable, well-invested engineering business with a strong reputation for quality.
