Research And Development Chemist

1.1.   Description Working with the leading manufacturer of Tyre Sealants, you will be placed at the front of our R&D initiatives, creating innovative products and problem-solving. Working for a family business operating since 1978, you will report directly to the business owner.  The position is based in Lutterworth, UK. The role is available on a two-year basis and could be extended. Salary - £45,000 depending on experience1.2.   Tasks The applicant will be expected to perform the following core tasksAnalysis of ingredients and impact on product behaviour;Maintaining Formula Files and tracking prototypes;Performing lab testing;Producing Samples;Liaising and coordinating projects with third-party laboratories;Competitor Product analysis; andPractical testing on tyres and vehicles where necessary. 1.3.   Skillset and Experience Hardworking and reliable;Self starter;          Experienced problem solver;                Must have Project leader experience and management skills;   Ability to work independently and prioritise efficiently;   Experienced in leading projectsFluent in English communications skills; written and on the phone;  IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook; andPleasant and enthusiastic.
