Job Description An opportunity has arisen to join a major UK residential developer as a Senior Engineer within the Technical team for the East Midlands region.Position OverviewThe Senior Engineer will support the Engineering Manager and take responsibility for a portfolio of developments, including sites with more complex technical requirements. The role involves producing accurate engineering information, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring work is delivered to agreed timescales.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate engineering information between internal teams and external consultants, ensuring deadlines are consistently metReview engineering drawings and details to confirm accuracy, practicality and commercial suitabilityOversee applications for statutory approvals relating to engineering design and land remediationCarry out site visits and attend meetings to resolve technical issues that emerge during constructionParticipate in design discussions with highways and drainage authorities to understand local requirements for new developmentsSecure technical approvals associated with s38 and s104 agreementsArrange site investigations and develop suitable engineering solutionsAssess ground investigation reports for proposed sites and ensure appropriate remediation strategies are in placeEnsure all approvals and documentation are obtained in time for planned site start datesSupport, mentor and develop team members within the engineering functionExperience, Qualifications and SkillsExperienceExperience operating at senior engineering level, or significant background in engineeringPrevious experience within residential development or a consultancy environment is advantageousAutoCAD experience preferredQualifications & TrainingDegree or HNC/HND in Construction, Engineering or a related disciplineCSCS card or equivalentFull UK driving licenceSkills & AttributesStrong communication and presentation skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to explain technical information clearly and conciselyHighly organised, methodical and committed to delivering high standardsStrong problem-solving capability and the ability to act quickly and effectivelyConfident in leading, motivating and supporting a teamAble to perform under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesProficient in IT, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to new systemsCommitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse working environmentWorking ConditionsOffice-based role with regular travel to development sites and external meetingsFlexibility required in relation to day-to-day duties and working hoursCore working hours applyWhat's OfferedCompetitive salaryAnnual performance-related bonusContributory pension25 days' holiday plus bank holidaysEmployee discounts and benefits portalSavings and share schemesCycle to Work schemeLife assuranceOption to purchase additional holidayOpportunities for training, development and progressionLinsco is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.JBRP1_UKTJ
