Assembly Manager

Guidance Marine is a leading provider of position reference sensors for Dynamic Positioning (DP) and vessel control systems. As we enter a new era as a standalone company, we are strengthening our business to drive growth, and are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead the Assembly Team at our Leicester site. In this key leadership role, you’ll take full ownership of team management, operational efficiency, and strategic direction to drive performance and ensure excellence in production.Responsibilities Full accountability for delivering and meeting business objectives in Assembly. Day to day management of the Assembly Team, supported by Team Leaders. Monitoring, tracking, and reporting of required KPIs Monitoring production costs and finding opportunities for improvement Accountability for the quality of all assembled material, ensuring we continue to achieve a high 'First Time Right' rate Promote a healthy attitude to health and safety compliance, ensuring our workplace remains a safe place for all Facilities management to create or improve production spaces as needed Develop, achieve, and maintain a high 'On-time, in full' production rate to ensure internal and external customer requirements are met.Requirements Proven experience of best practice improvement techniques and processes e.g. Lean, Continuous Improvement approaches Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams Leadership experience in guiding a dedicated team with a culture of collaboration and the highest standards of qualityIf you are passionate about driving performance and ensuring excellence in production, we'd love to hear from you!
