The posts are an opportunity for a junior doctor considering a career in Dermatology to gain experience in preparation for national selection application.The Dermatology service has a strong reputation for its training and support. There will be a designated Consultant supervisor for the duration of the rotation.The rotation is initially offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months after which we would envisage extension on a mutually agreed basis.Post holders must be registered with GMC and hold a licence to practiceMain duties of the job Provision of high quality dermatology care across multiple sites. The successful applicant will be expected to take a role in supervising the in‑patient management of dermatology patients and to participate in the dermatology on call rota. There is one main ward round on a Thursday morning and others conducted by the doctors on call. The work will include the provision of outpatient services including performing minor surgical procedures. The patients will include urgent referrals for suspected skin cancer as well as unselected routine referrals for general dermatology.
