30 years of quality groundworks and civil engineering We are currently looking for a Technical Assistant to sit within our Technical team to perform tasks related to 3D Modelling, Design Review and Project Coordination. You will be responsible for coordinating with designers, engineers, construction teams and other stakeholders. The main objectives of this role include the creation and refining of 3D models and technical designs and integrating designs in collaboration with the construction and commercial teams. You will need to identify potential risks or technical barriers and optimise design solutions by working alongside Technical and Commercial teams. Conduct feasibility simulations to validate the effectiveness of design changes. Integrate design modifications and resolve technical challenges in collaboration with the construction and commercial team. Design Review & Quality Assurance Lead design review processes to evaluate technical drawings, schematics, and models for compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards. Identify potential risks or discrepancies. Collaborate with commercial and construction teams to resolve technical issues and optimise design solutions. Project Management & Coordination Coordinate with designers, engineers, and construction teams to align project objectives with technical deliverables. Prepare designs, surveys, and reports, presenting findings to clients and senior management.The Successful Applicant will:Have a degree in the field of Engineering (desirable but not essential). Be GDPR competent. Be proficient with MS office software (Word, Excel) and knowledge of design software tools. Oversee departmental workload - have the ability to multi-task department needs, plan and prioritise and shift priorities quickly in a fast-moving environment. Demonstrate methodical administration skills with good attention to detail. Build long-term relationships. Be technically skilled and able to use advanced software tools to their full potential.
