Job DescriptionHave you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.Registered Manager Childrens Residential Home (EBD)Location: LeicesterHome Size: 3-bed childrens homeSalary: 50,000 65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Contract: Full-time, PermanentOverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a newly established 3-bed childrens residential home in Leicester, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, values-driven leader who can deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care and achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality StandardsProvide strong, visible leadership to the staff team, promoting a therapeutic and nurturing environmentSafeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all timesDevelop, implement, and review care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategiesRecruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff, ensuring safe staffing levels and high standards of practiceBuild effective relationships with local authorities, social workers, parents, and external professionalsManage incidents, safeguarding concerns, and notifications in line with regulatory requirementsPrepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, ensuring the home strives for Good or Outstanding outcomesOversee the operational management of the home, including rotas, budgets, occupancy, and quality assuranceEssential RequirementsLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Children and Young Peoples Services (Residential)Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an EBD childrens homeStrong working knowledge of:Childrens Homes Regulations 2015Ofsted inspection frameworkSafeguarding and child protection proceduresAbility to manage challenging behaviour using trauma-informed and therapeutic approachesExcellent leadership, organisational, and communication skillsEnhanced DBS xjdpvnf (or willingness to obtain)DesirableExperience opening or registering a new childrens homeTrack record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratingsKnowledge of Leicester / Leicestershire commissioning frameworksWhat We OfferCompetitive salary with performance-related progressionOpportunity to shape and lead a small, stable 3-bed homeSupportive senior management and provider oversightOngoing professional development and trainingA values-led organisation focused on quality, not volumeHow to ApplyTo apply, please submit your CV and a brief supporting statement outlining your experience in EBD childrens residential care and leadership
