Job Description Regulatory & Compliance Manager Greater Leeds Area (3 days/week on site, 2 days/week WFH) 1 direct report Guide of 45-60k +10% bonus + private healthThis is a fast-scaling nutrition business stepping into its next phase - sharper innovation, bolder brands, and serious growth ambition. To do that well (and legally), we need someone who lives and breathes compliance - and knows how to make it enable growth, not slow it down.As the Regulatory & Compliance Manager, youll be the calm, credible voice in the room. The person everyone trusts when it comes to safety, standards and future-proofing the product range. Youll sit right at the heart of the business, influencing decisions from formulation to go-to-market.This isnt a box-ticking role. Your expertise will shape how the company operates.What youll be getting stuck intoOwning the compliance landscape - EFSA, BRCGS, HACCP and all relevant UK/EU regulations.Setting the standard on labels, claims and legal copy (and helping commercial teams get it right first time).Partnering with NPD to approve ingredients, suppliers and compliant formulations.Embedding sustainability and ESG thinking into packaging, sourcing and product life cycles.Developing a small but high-impact team.Building relationships with 3rd party manufacturers across the UK there wont be much travel in the long-term, but at first, youll be out getting to grips with them.What youll bring with you5+ years in regulatory, technical or quality roles within the food industry (bonus points for anything nutrition and wellness related).Strong working knowledge of EFSA, BRCGS, HACCP and labelling/claims legislation.Experience dealing with audits, documentation and third-party manufacturers.A genuine interest in wellbeing, sustainability and building systems that scale with growth.If youre looking for a role where pace is high, decisions are made quickly, and your judgement genuinely matters - this could be a very good fit.Sound like your seat at the table?Lets talk.
