Job Description The Personal Injury Claims Handler will be: Managing a portfolio of defendant public liability claims from inception to resolution Assessing liability and quantum, and formulating appropriate strategies for claim resolution Liaising with claimants, solicitors, and other stakeholders to negotiate settlements Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the claims process Providing advice and guidance to internal departments on claims-related matters Identifying trends and potential risk exposures to inform risk management strategies Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims handling process The Successful Applicant The Personal Injury Claims Handler should be: An experienced claims handler with a minimum of 2 years' experience in managing personal injury claims (not motor claims) Experience in property damage claims however full training will be provided Proficient in assessing liability and quantum, with strong negotiation skills Familiar with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively IT literate, with experience using claims management systems and Microsoft Office What's on Offer This is more than just a job; it's a career opportunity with a leading utility company that values its employees.
