Through Commercial Business Partnering, we work hand-in-hand with the business to drive, protect and shape engagement margins. Focusing on our high value and multi disciplined engagements, we use trusted relationships, knowledge and experience to embed cadence and processes into project teams that improve commercial awareness and optimise the commercial outcomes by minimising profit erosion.The Role:Assist the Consulting business by using their engagement data to provide a commercial position to assess project performance against approved targetsExtract, analyse and challenge data, where appropriate, to aid profitability analysis, decision making and instill best practiceProvide recommendations and insight into ways to improve project profitability and minimise engagement margin leakagePromote and develop the commercial tools to optimise commercial coverage and enhance the profitability of the businessSupport leadership with commercial MI to drive and improve overall performanceWork alongside other teams to support the commercial strategy and compliance with Firmwide policyThe individual:Will have strong commercial acumen with a keen eye for detail and experience in leveraging insights to identify and shape commercial strategies to optimise profitability. Good coaching skills will be advantageous to promote commercial awareness and provide client teams with an understanding of how their decisions impact profitability.Essential Requirements:Commercial skills and experience are preferred. Experience with commercial and project management, understanding of finance principles and project delivery lifecyclesStrong financial, business and commercial acumen with stakeholder engagement and management skills. Analyse and interpret complex data to provide useful insights that provide opportunities for improvementStrong analytical foundations, highly numerate and the ability to problem solve. Manage multiple work assignments simultaneously alongside multiple or conflicting prioritiesWork efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure working environment. Present and communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively through both verbal and written formsChallenge others to mitigate ineffective commercial decisions. Drive interactions with stakeholders that quickly build trustAbility to quickly grasp new commercial models and identify key value drivers, critical assumptions and improvement opportunities. Confidence to challenge senior stakeholders with data-driven insightsDesired Requirements:Ability to handle ambiguity and able to move forward with imperfect information and get things done in a changing environmentFlexible to meet changing needs, with proven leadership and coaching skillsAbility to quickly grasp new commercial models and identify key value drivers and critical assumptionsExperience with or knowledge of Anaplan - a cloud based tool to help businesses plan and run their business
