Business Intelligence Analyst

Job DescriptionPurpose of job:Our aim is to become a market leader in provision of Electric Vehicle charging solution provider to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at the time.The Business Intelligence Analyst role has the primary responsibility of working with the departments within the business, offering insight into their data and using that data to help the organisation make process improvements and informed decisions.Key Accountabilities:The role is responsible for the following:Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, both internal and externalPartnering with other departments to understand their data needs, and provide meaningful data to aid their business decisionsWorking with IT development team for development and maintenance of Data Lake functionality, ensuring solutions meet required needsIdentify potential areas for continuous improvement to data processes, data collection and data qualitySupporting other areas of the business with relevant queriesProviding reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders, and ensuring these reports remain fit for purpose.Review, prioritise and deliver Ad Hoc data requests from other departments in the businessPlus, any other duties as required by the leadership team.Outcome, Results and Key performance indicators:Contributing to ensuring the long-term data requirements of the business are met across all departmentsImplementation of continuous improvement to processesAssisting development of automated data solutionsKey stakeholders using data output in decision makingRelevant data accessible by members of the business as requiredKey Relationships:Internal Data owners of all other departments within the business, IT development team, FDExternal 3rd party data providers, customersKnowledge and Skills:2-3 years experience in a similar role is requiredAbility to present findings clearly via reports and presentations to senior colleaguesExcellent analytical skillsStrong MS Excel skillsWorking knowledge of AWS Athena and AWS working infrastructureExperience of visualisation reporting software such as PowerBIKnowledge of appropriate programming languages including SQLBehaviours:Problem solver Analytical Good time management and ability to work to deadlines Eagerness to learn new processes and upskillSelf-starter Ability to work in a team and take direction wellExcellent communication skills with ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Qualifications:Educated to at least degree level is desirableZest is an equal opportunity employer, committed to the values and ultimately societal benefits of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
