This role suits someone who isslightly more progressed than junior level, has a solid grounding in commercial principles, and is now ready to take the next step in their QS career.This is a business that works very much from asubcontractor perspective, so applicants must be keen to understand costs, risk, and value from that side of the fence not purely main contractor commercial management.Project ExposureYou will be involved in technically demanding, structural-led projects including:Basement construction and enabling worksFoundations and substructuresReinforced concrete (RC) framesStructural steelworksStructural works within existing buildingsLift shafts, underpinning, and complex alterationsThe workload ismainly structural, not trade-heavy packages.The RoleYoull be given real responsibility from the outset, with support and mentoring to help you progress.Key responsibilities include:Assisting with and managing project costs and budgetsPricing work packages and variations from asubcontractor POVIdentifying, tracking, and pricing all variationsSupporting applications for payment and valuationsWorking closely with site teams, engineers, and directorsDeveloping strong commercial awareness across live projectsThe company is happy toinvest time and training, but they want someone who already has a base level of understanding and ambition.What Theyre Looking ForIntermediate QS level (or strong Assistant QS ready to step up)Experience or exposure togroundworks, RC, structures, or civilsCommercially aware and detail-drivenComfortable pricing variations and understanding cost build-upsOpen-minded and willing to learn thesubcontractor way of workingAmbitious and progression-focusedThis role isnot suited to someone senior or set in their ways, or anyone looking to shortcut into a Commercial Manager position.Whats on Offer40,000+ salary, depending on experienceMonday to Friday working patternLong-term role with a growing specialist contractorHands-on mentorship and clear progression routeExposure to complex, high-value structural projectsOpportunity to genuinely grow within the businessThis is astrong opportunity for a capable, developing QSwho wants responsibility, progression, and real commercial exposure within a specialist subcontractor environment.JBRP1_UKTJ
